Yup. You read that right. Walmart (read: select Walmart locations) have Color Club.

Albeit an endcap display and not a section on the shelves next to all the other nail polish brands they carry. Tis access to Color Club nonetheless.

I've known heard whispers & seen pictures from other nail fanatics for a few months now. However, I hadn't seen it for myself until about two weeks ago after work.
By the way, the Walmart location I finally found this Color Club display was the sixth or seventh location I tried this summer.

The display hosts three different types of polish: mood changing, matte neon, and holographic. Each of the types is selections that fit the aforementioned description from a mixture of Color Club collections.
Selections of the matte neons are from Pop Chalk, Pop Play, and possibly other collections. I believe all of the mood changing polishes are from the only Mood collection. (If there has been more than one collection of Mood from Color Club, let me know in the comments.) And the holographic shades are from an assortment of shades from different Halo Hues collections.

Hi. Me again. I Still haven't found the work/life/school/blog balance. Forgive me? Okay cool. How about some bomb jelly splatter nails to make up for it!

It's summer and the jelly trend is back! Zoya brought out a special edition of their Jellies for the occasion. Don't know what a jelly finish is? Jelly lacquers are translucent but buildable and come in any color. Want a food-related reference? Think color and opacity level of gummy bears.

Y'all know I love neons. What's the only way to make it better? Holographic nail polish of course.
School-induced hiatus aside, I managed to paint my nails for the first time this semester. Fun fact, these were originally done for a project in my Web & Social Media Production class.

After seeing the vertical-stripe-gradient-over-a-clear-base trend all over Instagram--my favorite app, by the way--I decided I wanted to try it out, but using holographic nail polish instead.

My ring and pinky fingers are just gradients per usual. However, my thumb, index, and middle fingers start with a base of Color Club Kismet. Once the Kismet layer is dry, it's time to place some Painter's Tape along the left and right sides of each of the aforementioned nails. After that, make a gradient with Illamasqua Omen and Salon Perfect Bermuda Away. Peel away the tape and seal with a top coat.

♪♫Hey, I just met you. And this is crazy. Here's my number, Macaw Me Maybe?♪♫ I genuinely thought "Call Me Maybe" was the most obnoxious song in 2012. I would say I hated it, but that's too strong. But I definitely had a strong dislike of it. So imagine my surprise that I've been playing it for three days since I first swatched this ruby red holo on Monday morning.

The Girl Is Tiki
The Girl Is Tiki while I'm generally not a huge fan of pinks/reds/corals, this coral is sure to be a crowd pleaser for just about anyone.
Keep Palm And Carry On
Keep Palm And Carry On is a yellow leaning green that you can certainly see how it was inspired by lush green scenery.

Stick around for part II for shimmer, crelly, and glitter finishes.

So I'm not even sure what I'm going to call this, but it was kinda inspired by this mani.

I started with a base of Orly Mirrorball. It had been sitting in my untrieds for months after I bought it--a shame I know.

Then I laid down some reinforcement labels to create the shapes of my mani.

Earlier this month I took my first ever spring break trip.--Yeah, I know. Kinda late in life for my first spring break trip.--Where did I go you wonder? Las Vegas!
Before I left for my week long stay in Sin City, I colored my hair.  After I had my hair dyed (and before I left for my trip) I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with my nails. Then it hit me! I needed to match my nails to my awesome hair!

Because I did my nails with a limited time before I left, I didn't get the chance to take enough pics in my light box. However, I did take some photos in direct sunlight so you can see ALL the holo goodness this mani has to offer.

Press Sample Today I've got some shapely nail art featuring products from Cult Cosmetics.

I started of with three coats of Cult Cosmetics Coachella. Cult Cosmetics describes Coachella as a holographic top coat, but from my experience with it, it's easily built to full opacity.

After I was finished with my Coachella base, I went on to paint the top half of my nails with Cult Cosmetics Avalon.

Next, I diagonally painted a section using Cult Cosmetics Laguna.

Laguna, Avalon, and the white nail striper are in the Tribal Treasures Kit ($9.99), while Coachella is available for purchase separately ($9.99) on CultCosmetics.com.

For $19.99+shipping per month you can become a Cult Cosmetic member and get a new Blackbox delivered to your door.

How do you feel about this shapely manicure?
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.

Purchased by Me | Press Sample July 4th is Friday and if you're like me, you still have no idea what you nails are gonna look like. To help me (and you lovely folks) decide what polish to use I dug through my stash and picked out some very holiday-esque lacquers. And yes, this post is incredibly picture heavy.

Let's start this post off right with my favorite nail polish finish. CRÉMES!

Saturday morning I did it for the 'Gram! I was headed to work when I looked at my seriously bright & holo-y nails and knew I had to take a picture of them for IG. As the day progressed I realized this kind of neon-holographic combination had to be blogged about, and here we are!

After laying down my current base coat combo of Duri Rejuvacote, followed up with Barielle Clearly Noticeable Nail Thickener; I used three coats of Dare to Wear Honeysuckle and two coats of gLORIous Spectraflair Topcoat #35.

This is the second time I've used the Spectraflair top coat and I've pretty much decided that I have found the absolute perfect holographic top coat.
I just keep asking myself, "Briana, why have you not purchased this baby sooner?"

I'm really in love with this mani and pictures just don't do this damn Spectraflair justice!

Here's to a summer filled with neon & holographic nail beds. Cheers!
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.

Press Sample | Affiliate Link A few weeks ago I was creating content for this very blog. I did my nails, set up lighting, took photos, and then completely forgot about the mani as it sat in one of my memory cards. Until now.

I decided to take my favorite parts of the last two Nail Art Society Kits, Great Glitzy and California Dreaming, and combine them for one easy look.

From the California Dreaming kit I used one of the bows and Jessica Tangerine Dream, and from the glitter packed Great Glitzy kit I went with Floss Gloss Dime Piece.
