What could be better than Dirty, Sexy, Money? $100 bills y'all! Hence today's mani.

DSM is a two-coat, dusty, turquoise créme and I'm pretty sure I couldn't love it more for this fall/winter season.


For my accent nails I used some left over $100 bill water decals because... well it only makes perfect sense to pair money with even more money!


And just for funsies, here's my right thumb. You know, in case you thought I didn't have one.


See that nasty looking gash in the corner of my poor little thumb? My friend and I were drinking at her place and for some odd reason I had to pick up the cardboard box in her living room. And then it cut me. *sad face* You know what's even worse? I had to have another friend put a bandage on my thumb for me.



Nothing To Disclose Let that be a lesson for you kids. Don't drink and pick up random ass boxes in a living room.

It's Monday, and if you're in the US, you might have today off from work to sit around and fire up the grill one last time before summer ends. While I'm not currently planning on leaving the house today b/c I have school early tomorrow morning. (Yes school, my first college class since January 2011 is tomorrow morning at 8am. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!) I do have a green mani for this month's prompt for the Proud Beauty Bloggers of Color.


After laying down a white base color, I started my gradient by sponging China Glaze Be More Pacific and China Glaze Shore Enuff.


I bought  Shore Enuff & Be More Pacific back when the Off Shore Collection came out; the colors are gorgeous but the formula is pretty thin. I lost count of  how many times I had to pass the sponge over my nail beds to get the opacity seen in this mani.


My original game plan for this mani with to splatter white nail polish on top of the gradient. As you can see my plans quickly changed once I saw Salon Perfect Zapped sitting around.

Press Sample It's Friday! Now if only that meant anything to me other than I still have to be at work tomorrow morning. Anyway I've two nail art looks using Pixi Nail Colours.

The first is a Victoria's Secret-esque striped mani done in  Fuchsia Dew and  Pink Peony


The base color of Fuchsia Dew is much darker and less neon with a hint of gold shimmer, but my camera refused to accept the aforementioned facts. While Pink Peony is a a super opaque raspberry crème that reaches full coverage in one coat. (I wore it for a week with the intent of swatching it for you guys and then I went to bed and didn't take pics of it the next day.)

I almost forgot to mention that the two colors used are actually very shiny, but I added a matte top coat for a different look.


The second look is a border mani using Lime Lustre, Sizzling Sunshine, and Oh SO Orange.


When I first glanced at these colors, my immediate favorite was Lime Lustre, but that all changed once I applied Oh So Orange. Oh So Orange is a crazy bright neon orange that reaches full opacity in two coats without a base white base color. Oh and it dries to a shiny finish on its own. Girrrrrrrrl! Why can't every single neon nail polish be just like this? When I tell you I instantly got re-hyped about this polish just talking about it, I am not even close to kidding.

Saturday morning I did it for the 'Gram! I was headed to work when I looked at my seriously bright & holo-y nails and knew I had to take a picture of them for IG. As the day progressed I realized this kind of neon-holographic combination had to be blogged about, and here we are!

After laying down my current base coat combo of Duri Rejuvacote, followed up with Barielle Clearly Noticeable Nail Thickener; I used three coats of Dare to Wear Honeysuckle and two coats of gLORIous Spectraflair Topcoat #35.

This is the second time I've used the Spectraflair top coat and I've pretty much decided that I have found the absolute perfect holographic top coat.
I just keep asking myself, "Briana, why have you not purchased this baby sooner?"


I'm really in love with this mani and pictures just don't do this damn Spectraflair justice!

Here's to a summer filled with neon & holographic nail beds. Cheers!

We all know how much I love crémes, summer collections, and bright colors so Zoya Tickled is clearly right up my alley!



After  having these beauties on my hands for a pretty decent amount of time I finally decided what I wanted to do with them. An acid wash rainbow!

My thumb, index, and middle fingers Have all six shades from the Tickled collection, but I decided to use two different halves of the same collection on my ring and pinky fingers.

While my ring finger uses Rooney, Wendy, and Rocha, my pinky uses Tilda, Ling, and Kitridge.


Quick side note, I'm back to growing out my stiletto nails again. I really really, really can't wait for them to grow longer!

Press Sample After taking off last Wednesday's nail art, I decided to try something a lot less complex. Why? Only because I didn't the time available to create another extremely detailed manicure. If I've learned anything over time. It's that I should never, under any circumstance, paint my nails while under fatigue. Trust me. It. Never. Ends. Well.

Anyway, I picked out two Sation colors and some camouflage studs I bought on eBay for today's simple nail art installment.

Press Sample Oh Monday night. Finally I get to return to my bed if only for awhile! You know,  the place I spent a significant portion of my weekend? Anyway, Sunday night I was messing around with some ideas for nail art and here's what I came up with.


Last weekend I hit up a few of my favorite spots to acquire some booty--nail varnish of course, and not actual buttocks. I then left said hook up spot with Zoya Neely (for $2.99 btw). Claire's Culture Shock and Claire's Graffiti.
Fast forward to last night I decided to test out some Orly Instant Artist Water Based Paints, and well, here we are!
For this mani I started with a base of Zoya Neely, made a rough gradient with the two Claire's lacquers, and lasted tested out my line work with the two Orly Instant Artist paints.

Sunday night I found my self siting in front of my to do list of lacquers sent for review that I, in fact, needed to review (emphasis on the needed). I pulled two colors from from my aforementioned list and my go to black nail polish and had at it.


I started with a base of Barielle Teaser (two coats). Then I made crescent-like shapes with Knocked Up Nails 18K Gold Crown(ing). And finally I did the triangles with Wet n Wild Wild Shine Black Creme.

Overall the formula on Barielle Teaser is amazing. (But by now you should all know that I am an absolute sucker for two coat, opaque cremes.)
Knocked Up Nails 18K Gold Crowning is your average light yellow gold foil so no complaints here.
Wet n Wild Wild Shine Black Creme is an absolute must for any nail art/polish whore enthusiast. Why? Because it's 99 cents and opaque in one coat.
