Zoya Naturel Satins Nail Art

Wednesday, January 28, 2015nail a college drop out

Press Sample Saturday I came home from work to find the Zoya Satins collection waiting on my coffee table! (Read: I stalked the tracking for a week and had my mom stay home to make sure I got it this past weekend.) But anyway, let's not get off track.
Last night I came up with the idea to do a wavy neutral rainbow

Fun right?

Leah | Tove | Sage
Ana | Brittany | Rowan

A little over a week ago I sent out this tweet to see what were the best vinyls, but with minimal feedback I went searching on Etsy. Boy oh boy was I pleased with what I found!
Around the same time I got the Satins, my order for these nail vinyls were in my mailbox. Umm hello? Nail fate!

I started  by laying down my vinyls and painting half each nail a different color to create an cool two-tone effect.

My thumb is Rowan & Ana, my index is Ana & Brittany, my middle is Brittany & Leah, my ring is Leah & Tove, and finally, my pinky is Tove & Sage.

Overall all the formula was okay; the shade I had the most issue with was Ana and I definitely recommend thin coats.
I did have a small issue with streaks so once I removed the vinyls I finished with a layer of satin finish top coat that I got a couple of years ago.

The Zoya Satins retail for $9 each on zoya.com & ICYMI see the full press release here.

How do you feel about these transitional shades?
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.
