Press Sample|Affiliate Link Along with getting ready for my first semester of college since January 2011, I've been catching up on previous Nail Art Society Kits, so today let's take a look back at May 2014 NAS kit

This kit was packed with goodies so I'm just going to list them below in no particular order.

I wanted something delicate but out of the ordinary; edgy but not super ostentatious. So I started by painting my nails with Jessica Surfer Boyz N' Berry.

After my base color was completely dry--I found out the hard way that using these pens while your polish is even slightly dentable is an absolute no-no. Unless you like really horrid looking smudges.--I drew half moons at the base of my nail beds using the Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen.

Because I needed to add something to make these nails more dramatic, I layered The Créme Shop Nail Appliqués over the entire mani to complete the look.

Quick note about these appliqués is that the removal instructions say, "[w]ash hands with soap and gently peel off." With that being said, these babies are really only good until you wash your hands, so plan your mani accordingly.

Nail Art Society is a monthly subscription box where you can have dope, pre-selected nail art goods curated by NAS Artists delivered to your door for $11.95/month. Fly nails your cup of tea? Sign up here.

Last night I was feeling really lazy after a long day of work, but I knew I had very little energy to put forth to change my nails from plain to Heeyyyyyyyyy! Thus, the Nail Art Society Festival Princess kit came into play.

Aside from the Summer of Love nail wrap, my kit also came with marquise shaped gold studs (which I lost somewhere in my house after I opened my package), and an NCLA nail polish in I'm With The Band.

See how I punched a heart shaped hole in the Summer of Love Nail Wrap eh?

The wrap itself was beautiful but with the curvature of my nail beds and my lack of skill with these things made it pretty hard for me to use.

Overall, the Nail Art Society Festival Princess Kit was a great bang for your buck at $11.95 + shipping, but in hindsight I probably would've used a blow dryer to try and stretch the wraps.

Press Sample | Affiliate Link A few weeks ago I was creating content for this very blog. I did my nails, set up lighting, took photos, and then completely forgot about the mani as it sat in one of my memory cards. Until now.

I decided to take my favorite parts of the last two Nail Art Society Kits, Great Glitzy and California Dreaming, and combine them for one easy look.

From the California Dreaming kit I used one of the bows and Jessica Tangerine Dream, and from the glitter packed Great Glitzy kit I went with Floss Gloss Dime Piece.

Affiliate Link As all of you nail art lovers know Valentine's Day is this week, and I put together a small series called Nail Crush. Everyday between now and Friday this blog will be packed with nail art of my own, products I love, a few giveaways, and guest posts from a few ladies I emailed and asked, "Would you be my my nail crush?" So let's things started with the first contribution to Nail Crush, some nail art featuring products I'm pretty crazy about!

I usually don't lean toward "soft shades" but I felt after years of turning my nose up at them I should give them a try.

I used two coats of Barielle Dusting Powder on all of my nails to start and then I mixed things up a bit!
My ring finger has a stripe done in Orly Instant Artist Crisp White and topped with China China Glaze Passion via a Born Pretty stamping plate.
My middle and ring fingers are gradients using, again Barielle Dusting Powder and China Glaze Passion, LOVE and lemniscate (a.k.a. infinity) charms I got in a six pack from Charlotte Russe for (wait for it) .99¢!

And lastly my pinky is another gradient, but this time done in Barielle Enduring and Barielle Dusting Powder. After the subtle pink-to-white gradient was complete I broke out China Glaze passion and the same stamping plate I received from Born Pretty.

You can get the stamping plate I used in this mani for $2.99 at BornPrettyStore.com and if you use promo code NCL91 at checkout you get 10% off your total purchase!

But wait! there's more! You can actually win items from some of the brands mentioned today! Ready to see what could be yours if the price entry is right?

I've mentioned on more than a hand full of occasions that I love three things when I comes to nail polish collections.
1. A good crème finish.
2. Bright Summer collections.
3. Barielle's amazing formula.
So why not giveaway something that embodies all three of these? I mean, it only makes perfect sense.

But that's not it!
Nail Art Society relaunched and I was waiting for the perfect time to giveaway these brand new Orly Istant Artist shades! And remember when Hard Candy did some revamping and we all collectively fawned over Black Toe Optional? Well one winner will receive that, both Barielle Summer 2013 5-packs, and four Orly Instant Artists.

Tired of my teasing you with what you can win? Wanna Enter? Fill out the Rafflecopter form below and good luck!

Press Sample Okay ladies and gents, awhile back I mentioned Nail Art Society was making a comeback and I'd be bringing you looks specifically using materials found in each months kit. Well folks, here are two looks using just three items from this months Gold Foil Kit.

With the first look, I wanted to try a gradient using Jessica Cinnamon Kiss. After I successfully did a single color gradient, I felt this was a pretty good place to add some gold foil to my thumb, index, and middle fingers.

For the second look, I was inspired by the royal themed decals that are also in the Gold Foil Kit and paired two crowns with Purple half moons. Why purple? Well For starters it is my second favorite color and finishers (not sure if finishers is a word) purple is associated with royalty.
How's that for #ManiMonday?

Press Sample Oh Monday night. Finally I get to return to my bed if only for awhile! You know,  the place I spent a significant portion of my weekend? Anyway, Sunday night I was messing around with some ideas for nail art and here's what I came up with.

Last weekend I hit up a few of my favorite spots to acquire some booty--nail varnish of course, and not actual buttocks. I then left said hook up spot with Zoya Neely (for $2.99 btw). Claire's Culture Shock and Claire's Graffiti.
Fast forward to last night I decided to test out some Orly Instant Artist Water Based Paints, and well, here we are!
For this mani I started with a base of Zoya Neely, made a rough gradient with the two Claire's lacquers, and lasted tested out my line work with the two Orly Instant Artist paints.

Press Sample A few days ago I polled my readers via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Google+ to see what type of nail art I should do next. Because pretty much all of the responses I got were for neon nails, that's what I've got for you today!

For my index and pinky fingers I used Kiss Nail Dress stickers in Corset.
My thumb is two coats of Dare To Wear Private Escort.
For my middle and ring fingers I started of with a base of my go to white nail polish, Dare To Wear Flawless White. Followed by somewhat of a chevron using yellow and orange Kiss Nail Paint brushes, Dare To Wear Private Escort, and Dare To Wear Anonymity.

While the Dare To Wear products are hard to find for a lot of people; all of the Kiss products in this post are in this month's Nail Art Society Kit.
