Guest Post Nail Crush
Refined & Polished, Will You Be My Nail Crush?Wednesday, February 12, 2014Nail A College Drop Out
We're half way through Nail Crush Week and I've got another guest post. This time it's from Lakeisha over at Refined & Polished!
Reasons why I'm nail crushin' on Refined & Polish
1. As strange as this may sound I think her nails are the perfect width.
2. She's my go-to blogger for Zoya swatches (especially when Zoya runs those awesome promos we all know and love).
3. Her tape manis are some of the cleanest I've seen.

Hey dolls! I was super excited and flattered when Briana asked me to join in her Nail Crush Valentine's series. She does exceptional nail art and her skills are way more intricate than anything I'll ever attempt to do. My brain immediately kicked into high gear as I tried to figure out what to do for this guest post. I ended up going with the nail art that I consider my personal "old faithful" - polka dots and stripes.
Although red is usually what people think of when Valentine's is mentioned, pink is not very far behind. I'm the ultimate girly girl, so I decided to do an all pink look. I began with a base of Orly Flirty, a bright pink filled with silver and pink shimmer. Orly Au Champagne, my favorite white polish, was used for the double accent nails. After Au Champagne was completely dry, it was time for a little nail art. I used Orly Miss Conduct, a bright magenta filled with scattered holo shimmer for the striping tape accent nail. Flirty and Miss Conduct were used for the polka dot accent. BornPretty round, textured, silver studs were used to add just a little edge to my girly look.
I absolutely love the way this looks! It's girly, flirty, and perfect for a Valentine's date night. I prefer my nail art simple and chic, so this look definitely meets that goal. Thanks so much to Briana for including me in this series! You said you liked my tape manis, so hopefully this lives up to your standards. ;) If you'd like to see more of my nails, feel free to check out my blog, Refined and Polished, or to follow me on Facebook or Instagram.
I picked up Orly Miss Conduct for under $3 at Sally Beauty Supply awhile back and have yet to use it. Lakeisha's guest post puts this polish toward the top of my to try list.
On Wednesdays we wear pink.
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.
