Etsy Formula X

Formula X Seismic & Ooh La Lacquer Pixlexia

Saturday, February 22, 2014Nail A College Drop Out

Purchased by Me Earlier this week I finally took the plunge and went full on stiletto. After having square nails for a decade, and transitioning in the almond stage for about a week, I finally filled my nails into pointy stilettos.

Monday night the Mr. & I finally got the time to celebrate Valentine's Day. he took me out to dinner, then the movies (About Last Night is pretty funny by the way), and afterwards he turned to me and said, "hurry up before Sephora closes." After being together for the better part of a decade, he's becoming pretty good at surprising me and I've done a pretty good at grooming him to feeding my addiction buy me nail polish. Anyway, I picked out Formula X Seismic and here we are.
Seismic is such a great shade of orange with a subtle shimmer. but the formula itself isn't the greatest. It's streaky, it drags, and doesn't self level. For $10.50 I expect better and would definitely skip out on this guy and try to find a dupe somewhere.

You're probably wondering what glitter topper I'm wearing. Well , that would be Ooh La Lacquer Pixlexia. I bought it on Etsy a few weeks back and pretty much fell in love with the square blue, pink, green, silver holographic glitters. And for $4 why the heck not?

Quick side note: today is the last day to enter to win 3 sets of Dope Digits Nail Decals! Enter here.

Yay for my new stiletto nails! Can't wait until they grow out! Happy Weekend!
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.

  1. They look fab!

I did mine this shape this week too, and I'm impatiently waiting for them to grow long! I love stilettos, I've reshaped every spring for the last three years (but ultimately end up going back to squares in the summer when I'm swimming outdoors a lot 'cos the stilettos rip up my wetsuit, lol)
