Welcome to the fifth and final installment of wedding week! You should know that I'm itching to get back to my neons and show you a few Icing polishes I picked up the past few days. But for now I have one last matrimonial manicure to show you.
Laced Gold nail art foil I purchased from DollarNailArt.com over two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-dri Whirlwind White.
I hope you enjoyed my nails of the nuptial variety.
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.

First off, sorry about the hiatus. If you've seen my Facebook post you'll know that high winds knocked out my internet connection. But now that it’s all back to normal and I can continue to bring you relentless amounts of sarcasm, sexual innuendo, and of course, NAIL POLISH!
And secondly, I have a guest post on LoveForLacquer.com today!

So Sunday Was Earth Day...
Tuesday, April 24, 2012nail a college drop out
Sunday was Earth Day and while I intended to have this post ready by then; it would have involved me to wake up out of my I'm-too-tired-from-work-so-don't-wake-me-for-anything-less-than-Justin-Timberlake nap. And that brings us where we are now.
Step 1. Base Coat - I used Nail Life Gripper
Step 2. Base Color - Revlon Posh
Step 3. Let base color dry and apply nail art foil glue.
Step 4. After the foil glue has dried to a clear, tacky finish, apply nail art foil. - In this case it was Jungle Tides
Step 5. Apply a "normal" top coat i.e. a top coat that isn't quick dry or anything special. I find that OPI Top Coat works pretty well.
Step 6 (optional). brush glitter on tips of nails. - Milani Jewel FX Teal
Step 7. Now you can apply your top coat of choice. - Seche Vite
Now I know what you're thinking, "Oh my goodness, this is sooooo awesome!" Well, it is awesome but if you intended it to last longer than about ten minutes, you need to put on a top coat. The unfortunate side effect is that it looses its holographic goodness.
So then I decided to add some glitter to the tips.
Everything I used for this mani

Hmm, kinda looks like magnetic polish now that I think about it.

If It Glimmers It's Definitely Gold!
Tuesday, November 15, 2011nail a college drop out
If you didn't know my favorite color in the whole wide world is gold. So what's better than having it readily available to leer at on my finger tips?
I decided to make my ring finger and thumb accent nails and used Kashmir Gold nail art foil. Quick and easy tutorial for applying nail art foils can be found here. My other nails are Icing Glimmer.
Glimmer is a more of a beige shimmer with hints of gold and copper glitter. If you're not really into neutrals like myself, you'll love this one.
How do you feels about accent nails?

Can I Have a Spot of Tea with My English Rose?
Tuesday, August 09, 2011nail a college drop out
I recently bought a TON, okay 26, rolls of nail art foil from dollarnailart.com and one of my fast favorites was English Rose.
*This and all other nail art foils available at dollarnailart.com are approximately 1 inch wide and 5 feet long.
Before I applied the foil I painted my nails with Sally Hansen Inst-Dri Whirlwind White. It claims to be a one coat polish and to dry really fast. While it does live up to the "Insta-Dri" part it was definitely a two coat-er for me.
After the polish dries you apply one layer of nail foil adhesive. Wait 3 - 5 minutes for it to dry (it will still be tacky, but that's a good thing).
Carefully place the foil on the nail (shiny side up) and gently rub until the acetate backing starts to peel off on it's own. And then... *insert drum roll here*
Bam! Kick ass nails just like that! Apply one layer of clear top coat that IS NOT quick drying i.e. Seche Vite, let dry, then apply any no chip top coat of choice.
Enjoy my darlings! Love, Peace, and Polish!
