Dollar Nail Art Glitter

So Sunday Was Earth Day...

Tuesday, April 24, 2012nail a college drop out

Sunday was Earth Day and while I intended to have this post ready by then; it would have involved me to wake up out of my I'm-too-tired-from-work-so-don't-wake-me-for-anything-less-than-Justin-Timberlake nap. And that brings us where we are now.

Now I know what you're thinking, "Oh my goodness, this is sooooo awesome!" Well, it is awesome but if you intended it to last longer than about ten minutes, you need to put on a top coat. The unfortunate side effect is that it looses its holographic goodness.

So then I decided to add some glitter to the tips.

Everything I used for this mani

Step 1. Base Coat - I used Nail Life Gripper
Step 2. Base Color - Revlon Posh
Step 3. Let base color dry and apply nail art foil glue.
Step 4. After the foil glue has dried to a clear, tacky finish, apply nail art foil. - In this case it was Jungle Tides
Step 5. Apply a "normal" top coat i.e. a top coat that isn't quick dry or anything special. I find that OPI Top Coat works pretty well.
Step 6 (optional). brush glitter on tips of nails. - Milani Jewel FX Teal
Step 7. Now you can apply your top coat of choice. - Seche Vite

Hmm, kinda looks like magnetic polish now that I think about it.
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.

  1. If only you could get polish that actually acted like a mood ring instead of just looking like it...love this earth day combo though!
