Finals week has come and gone, and the semester is over. Not only has my hair not turned gray from stress, I survived. Not only have I survived, I'm still holding down my 4.0 GPA! Yes, y'all I'm smart and my nails stay cute! Double threat over here.

Now that I've got more time for my nails (and you lovely folks) I've got some nail art featuring the entire Zoya MATTEVELVET Winter/Holiday 2015 collection.

I've been itching to play with these since the press release came out (catch it HERE if you missed it) but, alas, schoolwork. *sigh*

This season Zoya released six more MatteVelvets to add to your nail polish repertoire.
Zoya claims they are "perfectly opaque" and they aren't lying.

Yves | Aspen | Iris
Amal | Sue | Honor

I decided to go the route of two accent nails, all the while painting my thumb Yves and my ring & pinky fingers Iris.

I had to do something simple to start utilizing my freehand nail art muscles again because every time I take a nail art break, my skills always weaken upon return.

I don't make a habit of quoting professors from Oral Roberts Universityyes, I did a three semester bid at ORUbut this one seemed pretty damn poignant. "Drawing is just like any other muscle. If you don't use it, it will atrophy." -Professor Ott

The Zoya MATTEVELVET Winter/Holiday 2015 collection retails for $60 or $10 per individual bottle on Zoya.com.

Anyway, I'd like to thank trap music for inspiring me to whip that (school)work and maintain my 4.0, the library for not kicking me out until closing, and you guys for sticking around!
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.
