China Glaze & Salon Perfect Green Gradient + Glitter

Monday, September 01, 2014nail a college drop out

It's Monday, and if you're in the US, you might have today off from work to sit around and fire up the grill one last time before summer ends. While I'm not currently planning on leaving the house today b/c I have school early tomorrow morning. (Yes school, my first college class since January 2011 is tomorrow morning at 8am. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!) I do have a green mani for this month's prompt for the Proud Beauty Bloggers of Color.

After laying down a white base color, I started my gradient by sponging China Glaze Be More Pacific and China Glaze Shore Enuff.

China Glaze Shore Enuff | China Glaze Be More Pacific | Salon Perfect Zapped

I bought  Shore Enuff & Be More Pacific back when the Off Shore Collection came out; the colors are gorgeous but the formula is pretty thin. I lost count of  how many times I had to pass the sponge over my nail beds to get the opacity seen in this mani.

My original game plan for this mani with to splatter white nail polish on top of the gradient. As you can see my plans quickly changed once I saw Salon Perfect Zapped sitting around.

Be sure to check out what the other Proud Beauty Bloggers of Color did for this prompt below.

What are you plans for Labor Day? Me? I'm just excited that I'm starting college again tomorrow!
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.
