Tuesday, January 08, 2013nail a college drop out
Nicole by OPI announces the launch of 14 new nail
lacquers inspired by actress and singer Selena Gomez. The line features shades
designed to capture Selena’s sweet yet spunky personality, from soft pink and
peach hues to bright glitter and confetti lacquers.
“Selena is an ideal partner for Nicole by OPI. Millions of fans love
her for the same reasons we do; she’s smart, talented, funny – and has an
incredible sense of style,” explains Suzi
Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “She has that classic ‘girl-next-door’
appeal, but she’s also edgy and fun – just like the Nicole consumer.
“Selena is not only a chart-topping singer
and actress, she’s also a clothing designer and an active philanthropist,” adds
Weiss-Fischmann. “Like women around
the globe, Selena has many interests and passions; this collection, with its
diverse range of hues, offers a perfect match for every occasion!”

Do You... Like Nails?
Monday, January 07, 2013nail a college drop out
Last week I was on my lunch break doodling in my handy dandy sketchbook. This weekend I finally fulfilled aforementioned doodle!
I originally planned to do this mani with warm colored neons, but as you can see, I changed my mind.
While I was editing these photos my nails seemed kind of acid trippy (pretty sure "trippy" isn't a word) thus I began singing "Do You..." or maybe I just felt like singing a Miguel song. Whatever.

Okay, so I'll admit that I've had the materials needed for this manicure for awhile now. Why has it taken me so long to write about them? A few reasons, lately I've been short on time, exhausted from work, and just plain lazy.
...Damn that overtime at work!
Anyway, less talking. More polish.

Fun With A Few Tranzitions
Tuesday, January 01, 2013nail a college drop out
Last Saturday the mailman came and dropped of a package. My mom placed in my room and didn't even bother to ask what it was.
In true nail blogger fashion I opened it, posted a pic on Instagram, and eventually did some nail art with it. In. That. Order.

What on earth is on my nails you ask? Altered Reality, Split Perso-NAIL-ity, and Modify Me.
How did I achieve this look? I applied the colors with a cosmetic wedge and applied China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat to my thumb, index, and pinky fingers.

The China Glaze® Tranzitions collection will be available in January
2013 at fine salons and beauty supply stores nationwide.
China Glaze is free of DBP, toluene,
and added formaldehyde, and is never tested on animals.
As you can see, my middle fingernail is doing some weird curling so I'm going to have to trim them all. =(
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.
