Gel Polish Animal Print + Nail Charm
Monday, January 13, 2014nail a college drop outPress Sample As of late I've been experimenting with gel polish, and yes that does include trying nail art with them.
Today, I have my very first attempt that I forgot I had saved in my memory card so why not start Mani Monday off right?
Last week I showed you some nail art using a few nailuv gel polishes and today I have yet another nail art look using three different shades from the brand.
I used Hardcore Rock (black creme), Femme Fatale (brown shimmer w/ red undertones), and Hit the Jackpot (gold glitter).
Like I mentioned in a previous gel polish post, it is an absolute must to cure between every single layer.
And I couldn't leave this mani alone without adding a leopard charm I bought on eBay.
nailuv Gel Polish retails between $8-$14.95 per 15mL on nailuvpolish.com.
With a little more effort animal print nail art is achievable with gel polish.
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.

Press Sample Today I've got one of my first attempts at nail art using gel polish and a quick tutorial if you want to try it out yourself!
Before I get started with the tutorial, I must stress the importance of curing every single layer. Does it take a little more effort? Yes. Will your nails come out fabulous if you don't? Not a chance.
The first step is three cured coats of nailuv What's Up.
The next step is to lay down some striping tape.
I planned on doing this pattern on all my nails, but then I changed my mind. Can you tell?
After the striping is down, paint semi circles on the right and left sides of your nail bed using nailuv Dynamic Duo and Lovestruck, remove the tape, and cure.
Finish off with a layer of gel top coat and wipe with gel polish cleanser and you're done!
Don't know what I mean when I say "cure"? Curious about the nailuv At Home Gel Polish System? See my review of the starter kit here.
nailuv Gel Nail Polish ranges from $8 to $14.95 on nailuv.com.
Here's to stepping out of my nail art comfort zone and using a medium I'm not all that familiar with!
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.
