Barielle Carnival Fiesta Swatches
Tuesday, December 18, 2012nail a college drop out
Tonight I've got Barielle's Winter 2012 collection, Carnival Fiesta! Are they awesome? You decide.
Wanna Samba?
Wanna Samba is a grey shimmery multichrome with flashes of purple and green. Kinda reminds me of a fly, but only, you know, likeable.
Shown in three coats.
Lindsay's Dancin'
A ruby red shimmer that is opaque in two coats.
Jillian's Jammin'
A blue duochrome with flashes of purple. Ahh yes, love is real folks.
Shown in three coats.
Holiday Madness
A metallic olive green.
Shown above in two coats.
While we're on the subject, here's some nail art I did with Holiday Madness a little while ago.
Rio's Rockin' Bands
A metallic magenta shown above in two coats.

Overall the application of Carnival Fiesta was pretty good—a bit brush stroke-y—but good. Most of these were opaque in two coats and I'm pretty much in love with Jillian's Jammin'!
Individual Barielle lacquers retail for $8 each, but the Carnival Fiesta 5-Pack retails for $25 at Barielle.com.
Personally, I'd take the deal and get the 5-pack.
Which one is your favorite?
Tune in. Drop Out. Love polish.

Icing: Christmas 2012 Edition
Monday, December 17, 2012nail a college drop out
Aw yeah son! Time for some Xmas themed Icing swatches!
Let's get things started with Heart of Gold.
Heart of Gold is definitely a glitter topper. But, I mean, its gold and has a tiny bit of holographic sparkle. How could I say no?

Next up is Jingle My Bells.
Jingle My Bells is a mix of your standard Christmas colors; red, gold, and green. Pretty, but not impressive. Not that this polish is ugly. I've just seen better from Icing.
On the plus side it can be worn alone or as a glitter top coat.
Shown in three coats.
And finally, Frog Prince!
Frog Prince is mostly green with a few slightly holographic pieces of blue glitter disbursed throughout. (This was Mr. Nail A College Drop Out's favorite by the way.)

Along with getting absolutely no Christmas shopping done hoarding all the nail polish, I've been playing around with some different hand poses. Tell me what you think.
