NOTD: Color Club Diamond Drops & Icing Mint 2 Be
Wednesday, April 18, 2012nail a college drop out
I typically have some form of an introduction for my posts, but today I just want to show you pretty pictures. Besides, its not like I'm being graded for this anyway.
This is either 2 or 3 coats—I really don’t remember which—of Color Club Diamond Drops over 3 coats of Icing Mint 2 Be.
Mint 2 Be was kinda streaky at two coats but evened out on the third.
Diamond Drops wasn't the easiest to work with. the bigger "shards" of glitter were hard to get out of the bottle, but all the tiny pieces came out easily. If the clear base it was suspended in were thicker this problem probably could've been avoided. I have a feeling that if you mix Diamond Drops with Icing Frost Yourself, Icing Glamorous, and NYX Girls Spotlight you might have a suitable substitute for Lynderella Shape Shifter
Is the struggle worth the result?
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.

NOTD: Purple + Glitter!

After finally removing my New Year's Eve mani I decided to simply paint them. And here's the final product!
I started off with a base coat of Nail Life Nail Revitalizer and two coats of Sally Hansen X-treme Wear Lacey Lilac, one coat of Icing Glitterati, one coat of Color Club It's A Hit. I usually stick with China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat; so, I felt the need to try something else. I topped it all off with Orly Seal On Top Coat.
At first I wasn't too fond of this combo, but I got a lot compliments on this one at work today.
Are you as indecisive as I am when it comes to glitter?
Tune in. Drop out. Love polish.

In less than 7 hours (EST) it will be 2012. What does that mean? That it is an absolute must to have awesome nails on the very last day of the year! And here are mine.
Originally these were inspired by some Cobra Starship Cover Art I saw on Pandora, but I figure why not do them for New Year's?
See you in 2012!

NOTD: China Glaze Sunset Sail

Today I decided to wear China Glaze Sunset Sail that I bought earlier this week. You can see that mini haul here. It's unusual for me to wear a polish so soon after purchase. I typically buy them, they sit around, and then eventually I use them in my nail art. But this color is so perfect alone I just had to!
It's nude with hints of peach and the shimmer seen in the bottle isn't that noticeable on the nail. Photoed above is three coats. It was kinda streaky, maybe I had a bad bottle. I really love this color and I can't wait to wear this on my toes this summer!
Dear Winter,
Hurry up and be over with.
